Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Sales Inquiry Management: Handle day-to-day management of incoming sales inquiries, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Quotes and Sales Orders: Produce accurate quotes, process sales orders, and maintain related customer communication, ensuring a smooth sales process.
  • System Design and Configuration: Provide high-level design and configuration of systems to meet specific customer requirements, demonstrating technical expertise.
  • On-site Customer Support: Conduct customer on-site installation and training, showcasing exceptional customer service and technical know-how.
  • Event Management: Manage and attend industry-related exhibitions, representing the company professionally and networking for potential sales opportunities.
  • Customer Prospecting: Actively prospect for new customers and promote new products, identifying and pursuing sales opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed of market trends and competitor activities to effectively position our products and services.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Provide regular feedback to the management on sales performance, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product range and its applications to effectively address client queries and provide solutions.


Experience / Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Physics. A Master's degree in a related field would be an added advantage.
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of technical sales experience preferably within the metrology sector or a related technical field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong practical skills in handling and demonstrating complex technical products. Experience in light measurement equipment will be highly regarded.
  • Analytical Abilities: Capable of understanding and interpreting technical data. Should possess the skill to translate complex technical information into accessible language for clients.
  • Interpersonal and Presentation Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Must have a proven track record of effective presentations, demonstrating products to a variety of audiences.
  • CRM Software Proficiency: Experienced in using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software packages. Familiarity with the latest CRM tools and digital sales platforms will be beneficial.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Customer-Oriented Approach: Strong focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Should possess a proactive approach in identifying and solving problems, often in innovative and creative ways.
  • Adaptability: Must be adaptable to the evolving market trends and capable of learning about new products and technologies quickly.
